Castlerigg Manor
A knight returning home from the crusades in the east against the Lazarenes brought home a curious trinket. A small, cube-shaped puzzle box. Also in his company is the eastern mystic known only as “Prospero”.
The knight has changed since his years away on crusade and Prospero speak for him (as he lost his tongue in torture and captivity by the Lazarenes). The knight’s appetite for violence and debauchery become greater and greater. His manor plays host to many wild orgies, where he sends his retainers out to “recruit” party guests from his local villages. Some of these guests return home scarred and broken, others not at all.
One year, the red plague sweeps through the local area destroying what is left of his domain. Now his retainers must search further afield for “guests”. This angers the neighboring barons, who join forces to put an end to the Knight and Prospero. The manor is broken and ruined and sits empty…
